Measurement Guide

Accurate measurements are the foundation of a perfect window furnishing. While we always recommend our free in-home measure and quote service for the best results, here's a guide to help you understand the process.

Measure the Width

For inside mount: measure the exact internal width at three points — top, middle and bottom. Use the smallest measurement. For outside mount: measure the full width you want covered, typically extending 15–20cm beyond the frame on each side.

Measure the Height (Drop)

For inside mount: measure from the top of the recess to the sill. For outside mount: measure from where you plan to install the rod or track down to your desired length. For floor-length curtains, subtract 1–2cm for clearance.

Note Your Window Type

Is it a standard rectangular window, a bay window, a sliding door, or a shaped window? Different window types require different hardware. Take a photo of each window to share with us during your consultation.

Check for Obstructions

Note any handles, locks, vents, architraves or cornices that might affect installation. Check whether walls are plumb and square — older Brisbane homes can have walls that are not perfectly straight.

Important: Always measure each window individually — even windows that look the same size are often slightly different. Never assume two windows have identical measurements.

Extended Warranty Coverage

Duration: This Extended Warranty covers your curtains for a period of 1–15 years from the date of purchase. The exact duration of coverage may vary depending on the specific purchase and circumstances.
Major Failures: In the event of a major failure as defined by the ACL, you are entitled to a replacement or a refund.
Reasonably Foreseeable Loss or Damage: If your products cause any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, you are entitled to compensation.
Failure to Meet Consumer Guarantees: If your products fail to be of acceptable quality, and the failure does not amount to a major failure, we commit to repairing or replacing the goods.
Consumer Guarantees: We acknowledge and respect your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees include that the goods will be of acceptable quality and fit for known purposes.

Manufacturer's Warranty

Our Extended Warranty operates alongside any manufacturer's warranty that may be applicable to your purchase. It does not replace or restrict your rights under the ACL or manufacturer's warranty.

Claiming Warranty Service

Reach out to our customer service team to initiate your warranty claim.
Provide a copy of your original purchase receipt or invoice as proof of purchase.
We will assess your claim and determine whether it falls within the scope of our Extended Warranty.
Depending on the nature of the issue, we will repair, replace, or provide compensation as applicable.

Our Products & Your Rights: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
